Dolomite Lime. 8 oz.Small pellet size. Slow dissolving to last over time.
The major component of soil health is soil pH. Most plants do best with a pH of 6.0 to 7.4. Always consider any specific needs of your plants before adding any soil amendments.
Benefits of Dolomite (Dolomitic) Lime are:
To raise pH and for longer lasting pH stabilization.
Natural source for calcium and magnesium.
Calcium helps build strong stems and leaves, strengthens the plants’ vascular system, helps with water and other minerals uptake, and results in stronger, more disease–resistant plants.
Magnesium is a key mineral for healthy soil, plays a key role in photosynthesis process of plants, and is vital in overall systems of plant growth.
Encourages micro-organism growth that contributes to plant health. Plants will thrive with a combination of helpful micro-organisms and soil with a balanced pH.
How to use:
Gardens: Spread evenly over surface of soil. Water thoroughly.
Individual Plants: Spread evenly starting at soil/ground level next to main plant crown, spread out to edge of pot or just beyond drip line. Water thoroughly.
Mix 2.5 to 5 lbs per 100 sq ft (2-4 tbs per plant) into the soil.
